I am familiar with similar games like this, but never knew what the game was called. We always referred to it as the "bean-bag game". What I enjoyed about the P & L Proline site was that they offer pictures of clients boards. Most were in the category of the colleges, but there were some really interesting ones. I suggest taking a look at more of their work. This would make a wonderful customized gift for a family. I can see this being used by my kids throughout the summer, and if I allowed it probably in the house during the winter.

If you are from the Midwest, you know what cornhole is and you most likely play it often in the summer and fall months. You might play it at a tailgating party before a college football game or at a cookout in your backyard. Cornhole board and bag sets are a hot commodity around here. Around the holidays you will find booths set up in the mall selling custom sets and there are companies that have developed just to retail these products. P and L Proline is one of those companies.
The developer of P and L Proline began his company as a 'side job' and it has developed into a successful business that produces custom sets for consumers and also for charity. These one of a kind custom cornhole board sets are hand made from Birchwood plywood, Sherwin-Williams paint, Miniwax poly and other materials. Customers have the option of choosing any design they desire and boards are customized with P and L Proline's interpretation of the design choice. You are guaranteed to get a unique set that you won't see anywhere else.
What Is Cornhole?
For those of you who have no clue what cornhole is, it is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point.
Scoring can be swift and the lead may change hands several times in a match before the winner is decided.
The game is generally played tournament style with an individual or team being named the champion at the end of the tournament. {from P and L Proline}
You can score a custom set from P and L Proline for around $150. You can also order extra bells and whistles like battery powered lights for evening play. Each set comes with corn bags that match the colors of your custom design. They have donated sets to the Wounded Warrior Project, Kidsworks {a local therapy group that works with kids who have autism}, a local girls' softball league, high school fundraisers, National Guard Family Day and more.
One lucky winner will receive a custom cornhole board set from P and L Proline {$150 value}. This giveaway is open is open to U.S. residents and will end on January 1st. Please enter on the Rafflecopter below.
